Module 2 Introduction

For this next module, we focus on two different points from the Fashion Revolution manifesto – #6 and #9 – and try to imagine a fashion industry that does both of these things too.

In this module we will explore the environmental impacts of the clothes we choose to wear. We will ask how our fashion choices can affect environments and ecosystems (#6) and how a successful fashion industry needs a much more balanced approach to profit, people and environment (#9).  

This module focuses on what’s in our clothes and asks us to a) think critically about the ways in which the production, consumption and disposal of materials has environmental, as well as social, impacts and b) consider how the life stories of fashion’s materials can help us to imagine and create the more environmentally and socially just world in Fashion Revolution’s manifesto.
